Michelle Filice


Michelle Filice, “Chelle” was born in New England and currently resides in Northern California as a full time painter. She received her BA in Art History at Colorado State University. Further studies have been with The Pacific Art League, Palo Alto, CA. and workshops with notable artists Kevin Macpherson, Brian Blood and Betty Carr.

Chelle describes herself as an impressionistic realist. She paints on location “en plein air” and then returns to the studio to recreate her experience in a larger format . A limited palette keeps colors bright and harmonious . Painting quickly creates fluidity and dynamic brushwork.

Chelle is a member of Oil Painters of America, the American Impressionist Society, the Pacific Art League and the Los Gatos Art Association.
